When deciding on which method to enlarge their penis, many patients get confused. They ask questions like what is more effective? Which lasts longer? What about side effects? And so on..
This article is to answer all questions and concerns regarding the procedures for penis enlargement. There are ofcourse a couple of things worth mentioning before comparing the two procedures. It is important to note that both methods can be used to increase the length, size or girth and that not one of them has an impact on fertility or the quality and frequency of erections. They also do not have any negative health effects on the long term.
Ofcourse the two methods have differences but there also are similarities; for example whether it is fat or filler, they will both be absorbed by the body. However, the quality of the filler will determine the duration it will last for in the penis.
Both methods can increase the length of the penis in the flaccid state, moreover to increase it in the erect state a surgery called “Elongating Circular Corporoplasty” must be operated.
Fat transfer will require a surgery that includes liposuction for the extraction of fat from a source in the patient’s body which means that the texture the penis will have will be soft to the touch, similar to that of fat in other parts of the body. That might allow Irregularities to occur such as lumps, nodules of necrotic fat or scar tissue. However, fat transferring is considered a safer method than the injection of permanent synthetic substances such as silicone, PMMA, paraffin or implanting devices such as a silicone sleeve.
The injected fat may survive in the body in small quantities for several years with most fat being reabsorbed in 3-12 months after the operation that needs a recovery time of 4 to 6 months in which sexual activity is prohibited
On the other hand, the injection of fillers is a non-surgical operation that needs only 30 minutes. The operation uses Hyaluronic acid in the filler which is a safe product that has been in use for more than 20 years. Dermal filler procedures’ outcome generally satisfy the patient’s needs and desire, especially in the case of penis enlargement due to the firmer and more realistic feeling they offer.
You might have worries about the filler injections forming irregularities. In that case the patient has to press into the filler to correct any unevenness, but this occurs mostly only in the first week after the operation when the filler is still setting. And if deemed necessary, the filler can be altered or dissolved without any problems.
The application of too much filler, the wrong type of filler, or a poor injection technique, can give low-quality results. That is why even though up to half of the filler would be absorbed within 12-18 months (except for some specific ones which could last for 4 years), choosing the right clinic and doctor is crucial for the success of the procedure.
In contrast to the fat transfer, the penis would need one week after the injections to recover in which the patient would not be able to have any sexual activity. Following that, the weight of the filler in the penis would increase its length in its flaccid state.
Both methods are considered expensive; fat transferring costs an average of £5,400 in addition to future tops while the injection’s cost could vary depending on the quality and brand of the chosen filler. Whatever you choice, mistakes can result in serious complications so make sure that you choose a suitable and accredited clinic or hospital.
