Bariatrik Cerrahi
Hakkında
Tıp alanındaki gelişmeler sayesinde günümüzde sağlık sektöründeki imkanlar sınırsızdır. Plastik cerrahi, bir sihirli değnek gibi, kişilerin görünümünü zahmetsizce değiştirme yetisine sahiptir. Bu sebeple, birçok kişi, bariatrik cerrahinin (obezite cerrahisi) özünü yanlış anlamakta ve onun yalnızca fazla kilolardan kurturmanın etkili bir yolu olarak görmektedir. Bariatrik cerrahi, ameliyat sonrasında hemen incelme ve güzelleşme olanağı sunan bir plastik cerrahi gibi algılanmaktadır.
Gerçekte ise bariatrik cerrahinin amacı kişilerin güzelliğinden çok sağlığıdır.
Bariatri, geleneksel kilo verme yöntemlerinin etkisiz kalması veya imkansız olması koşuluyla, yüksek vücut ağırlığın hastanın yaşam kalitesini önemli ölçüde kötüleştirdiği durumlarda devreye girmektedir.
Midenin bir kelepçe ile küçültülmesi veya midenin bir kısmının alınması, bu amaçla kullanılan yöntemlerden biridir. Benzer bir işlem, ince bağırsağın küçük bir mide torbasına dönüştürülmesi ile de uygulanabilmektedir.
Türkiye’de bariatri; kardiyak, nöro-spinal, dental, estetik ve üreme dahir bütün tıbbi operasyonlar arasında en sık uygulananlardan biridir. Bunu mümkün kılan, tıbbi kaynakların uygun fiyatlı olması, hastanelerin düzenliliği, deneyimli ve alanında iyi sağlık çalışanları ve teknik bilgidir.
Tüm bunların yanında, Türkiye’de bariatrik cerrahinin maaliyeti diğer Batı ülkelerine göre %70 daha azdır.
